This is an Alternate Universe (AU) site. That means events do not take place as they did in the movies. We are starting around 1 year before the Phantom Menace, and events will progress to the formation of the Galactic Empire and beyond to the OT. But since this is AU, there may not even be a galactic empire. Qui-Gon Jinn may not be killed by Darth Maul, Anakin could stay on the path of the light or not even be discovered on Tatooine at all, Palpatine (me) may choose to blockade a different planet than Naboo, or the Separatists could defeat the Republic. Anything goes. Once we have gained enough characters, the story will begin. Of course, there is a place for non-canon characters as well. You could choose to be a mercenary and make your living doing assassinations for the TF, or you could be one of Padme's handmaidens. When the clone wars come (and they may not even come at all), you could be a clone trooper. This site is not just about the stories of the people in the movies. Even a simple bounty hunter could become emperor by an extremely lucky combination of circumstances. Remember, there are no limits, save for those set down in the Rules, and may the Force be with you.
