Coming straight out of the covered dry dock orbiting Corellia, the CWS Scharnhorst was revealed for the first time. Having been in secret development and production, few of the millions of observers had ever seen her, or any ship like her. She was the newest contribution from Corellia to the Republic. She was long, sort of slender, and bristling with powerful weaponry. In the middle of the hull was the superstructure containing the bridge, and variouis other important facilities. Foreward of the superstructure were two huge turrets, each housing three Heavy Anti-Matter cannons, and there was a third turret aft. Three double Heavy Laser cannon turrets where situated on each side of the superstructure making up her secondary armament. For anti-starfighter weaponry, fourty quad-laser cannons were carried. Ten fore and five aft were on the top of the ship, and the same was carried on the bottom of the vessel. The last ten were split into groups of five and were clustered around the bridge to defend it especially well. In the nose of the craft were two heavy torpedo tubes for anti-warship attacks. Dispite this heavy armament, she was fast. She could move about swiftly and manuverable, giving her a great advantage in battle. She lacks in armor however, but her speed compensates for it. This puts her in the Battlecruiser class. She was a beautiful craft, worthy of serving the Republic.
