Investing in the stock market works a little different in the Star Wars universe. Here's how it's done:
1. Select the company of your choice, the one that you think will do well in the future. PM me your choice, along with the amount of credits you wish to invest in your company. If you fail to PM me you will not get paid. You may, at any time before the Stock Poll, change your desired company or amount of money through another PM.
2. Every week a Stock Poll will be held. Vote for the company you have selected. You will receive payout based on the number of votes your company gets.
3. 0 to 3 votes: You loose your investment. 4 Votes: You get your investment back + 5%. 5 Votes: Investment +10% 6: I +15% 7: I +20% 8: I +25% 9: I +30% 10: I +35% 11: I +40% 12: I +45% 13: I +50% 14: I +55% 15: I +60% 16: I +65% 17: I +70% 18: I +85% 19: I +90% 20: I +100%

here is my ideas: 1.votes can be bias, so I suggest that it be based on sales EX.the value of a stock increases by 1 credit for each 50 credits the store gains, but each week the value from the previous week is cut in half and added to the new value. (this week a store gained 4 value. the next week a stock loses half its worth because of maufactuing prices and is then added to the new gain in value (4) giving it a total value of 6)

There has to be other ways of generating money, because currently the only way to make any money is to start a shop, and the only way that shop gets any money is by other people spending money. And where do they get that money? by opeing a store.
Also we can't base the stock market on sales as we're unlikely to see many sales regularly, though I'm not sure if the voting system will work since only me and Gigastrike seem to be in the market currently.

Well Jedi don't, we're a non-profit making organisation. Sith probably steal money, and soldiers get paid. Clones do their Job because they were born to do it so they don't get paid.

You can be mercs and bounty hunters, as well as employees at a store. Also, senators get paid high wages, and scientists get research grants to develop tech for an employer.

I will leave the original rules up for reference.

i'll try to make it easier:
1. every 50 credits a store gains, a stock's worth is increased by 1.
2. at the end of each week all stocks lose 1/2 of their current worth because of manufacturing and material costs.
3. a stock then gains worth from sales(reveiw section 1 for the amount that is gained).
EX. say a store gains 500 credits over a week(divide the gained credits by 50(500/50=10) for the stock value). the next week the stock worth is cut in half. after it is cut in half repeat the first step and add the result to the previous weeks worth.
week 1 credits gained--------------------stock worth 500---------------------------------10 (next saturday, cut the stock worth in half)
week 2 credits gained--------------------stock worth 300---------------------------------6 (stock worth over these 2 weeks is 11)

you dont get money unless you sell the stocks to someone else. the point is to buy stocks that you think will rise in value and then sell them whenever you want. they must be sold for the current value, however.
