A few hundred kilometers above a small backwater planet, orbits in the void of the outer atmosphere a blockade armada of the greedy Trade Federation. The shadowy Lord's apprentices, Naghcra and Ceeranus, hunt a couple of Jedi who slipped through the ambush on board the flagship of the Trade Federation fleet. Descending to the viridian and cerulean blue surface of lush Naboo in a massive Federation landing craft, the apprentices sense the two Jedi far below, bright points on the invisible field of the Force. The landing craft descends, engines vibrating powerfully to keep it aloft, into the thick canopy covered swamps...

Batan hid behind a tree out of the path of the MTT. He came out, to see Qui-Gon laying over a creature "Am I interrupting?" When he stood up, Jar Jar got up as well. Batan held his rifle at it's head "What is that?"

Jar-Jar: yousa saved mesa life! how can mesa repay you?
qui-gon: that isn't nessesary.
Jar-jar: no, mesa gotta make it up to yousa.
qui-gon: *sighs* fine. do you know a place that we could hide?
Jar-jar: mesa know of a city in the swamp, yousa can hide there!
qui-gon: can you take us there?
*jar-jar pauses*
jar-jar: uhhh...mesa no think so, uhh...i'm...banished.
qui-gon: why?
jar-jar: it because...mesa...clumsy...

After waiting a few minutes, Batan gets up and looks into the water. He doesn't see anything, but puts his head under to get a better look. He brings his head up quickly "Lights!?"
He goes under and looks again, seeing the lights of the gungan city. He comes up again "I have got to get down there..." he says as he looks around for inspiration for a plan.
His eyes settle on a medium sized rock and a vine. After a few minutes, he has the rock tied to him. "Here goes nothing..." He holds his breath and jumps in with the rock.
Imediatly, he sinks quickly. He holds on tight, and in 30 seconds he lets go and swims to the glass. He panicks. He goes to beat the glass for help, but his hand goes through.
He kicks with his legs, and he goes through the 'glass'. He sees the Jedi ahead of him "Hey, don't forget me!"
